UX Tips 007 – Select Box, Arrow indication & Hover Shading

Could you notice the difference? The second one is better. Below find out why.
  1. Always put a default indicator in a select box. Ex: “Select a dog”. Avoid use a blank-predefined value, that could cause confusion to Users.
  2. Arrow down indicates that you could see more info, Arrow up indicates that you can close that info. Always use this micro-functionality indicator, to guide better to Users.
  3. Use a clear indicate of selection. If is possible when do a rollover option, mark it with a shading or with a different color.
